Dan Giesbrecht, CPA, CGA

Overview

Dan Giesbrecht is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 40 years of experience in both industry and public practice. He earned his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation in 1989 and later received his CPA designation in 2015 as part of the unification of Canada’s accounting professions. Dan also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, completed in 1981.

Dan founded Giesbrecht & Associates in 1990 with a focus on delivering thoughtful, practical financial support to individuals, families, and businesses throughout Greater Victoria. His areas of practice include accounting and assurance, tax planning and preparation, estate and trust services, business consulting, and financial forecasting.

Known for his thorough and approachable style, Dan brings a client-centered perspective to every engagement. He leads the firm with a focus on long-term relationships, strategic planning, and dependable financial guidance.

Outside the Office

Outside the office, Dan enjoys mountain biking, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren — especially when it involves a good adventure or a quiet moment at the cabin.
